Chiropractic Comes First I had extreme pain from my lower back that shot down my left leg...all the way to my ankle. The pain persisted for two months. I work in a distribution center doing a lot of lifting. I've had muscle spasms before and they usually come and go. It wasn't uncommon for me to experience tight muscles in my lower back so this last time I just ignored it. I was hoping it would go away. I took Ibuprofen but it didn't really help. It got to the point where I could hardly sit down or bend over due to the pain. When I began to realize that it wasn't getting any better, I went to see a chiropractor. No wonder it didn't go away on its own! I had a bulging disc that was pinching my sciatic nerve. While my complete program lasted several months, after just a few spinal adjustments the pain had already improved. Eventually, the pain was gone and I was able to resume my normal activity. Next time I'll turn to chiropractic at the first sign of a problem. Or better yet, BEFORE the problem ever arises! -Gene Neeley |
